To all of our teams - PSMs, Sales, TAMs and others - as part of our rollout plan for auxiliary cameras, we will begin field testing in a few weeks, aiming to collect feedback from a small group of partner resellers before releasing to the general public.

We’ve put together information and details about the auxiliary camera field trial in order to help you prepare for next steps. Find all the juice in this letter.

During the trials, we will:

1. track and monitor the quality of recordings from the auxiliary cameras

2. ensure everything is working properly

3. provide technical support to partner resellers

4. collect and evaluate feedback from field trial participants regarding the ease of installation and pairing

5. adjust design if needed and refine the camera based on any design adjustments

6. repeat until field trial is evaluated as successful based on our pre-determined success criteria

7. release to the general public

As part of our efforts to continuously improve communications, we’ve created a new document called the “release package”. The release package is to be included in all major launches (not every sprint).

What else is new?

• The new 📂 Release Package folder 📂 is available for viewing by all employees, and this is where we’ll store the version release packages

• 🌐 This folder is easily accessible from our new Product Launch hub on LytxLync 🌐

• Coming soon: release packages for auxiliary cameras and firmware v3.11

The latest firmware update, 3.13, for the AI-12 dashcam is rolling out.

 What’s included:

• Power loss file protection

• Increase privacy with watermarks

• Hotspot control

The limited-release phase of the rollout started in August and is now GA.

1. Create Drivers and Update Drivers APIs - (Validate the  “organizationId ” parameter) 

   • When creating a new driver persona in the Organization,  (POST/drivers and PATCH/drivers), we will add a validation that the organizationId exists and belongs to the partner who is performing the operation.  This will allow you to only create a driver persona who is in your organization.   

2. Virtual event - Validate Parameters 

   • We will be implementing more stringent parameter validation on the virtual-event endpoint. By ensuring that all input data adheres to pre-defined criteria, we will only create events with valid parameters. You will receive an error message when attempting to enter invalid parameters.   

3. Create/Update organization - (post/organizations): Change the default for isOrganizationProfileEnabled to FALSE 

   • At the present time, newly created organizations are automatically enabled for the “Organization Profile” feature.  

     To provide greater user autonomy, we will change the default setting of isOrganizationProfileEnabled to FALSE. This will allow users to opt-in to the Organization Profile feature if they choose. 

These changes will be implemented in the release scheduled for January 12, 2025.

  • You can now download recordings in the background while continuing your work. This feature allows for efficient multi-tasking and saves time.

• ​Monitor notifications without distractions​

  • Our notification panel helps you continue working while keeping an eye on notifications and performing asynchronous tasks.

• Comprehensive analytics: Receive all IMEIs in one report ​

  • Before this enhancement, the exported CSV only displayed 200 devices. The report will now reflect all IMEIs in the organization.
